As a Microsoft Showcase School our school aims to offer a wide range of technological opportunities for our students with a particular focus upon enabling them to become computer literate. We are fortunate enough to have 1-1 devices across school with a mixture of iPad minis and Microsoft Surfaces. Each classroom is equipped with Apple TV and Samsung TVs.
Through the use of technology we aim to enrich all children's experiences in all curriculum areas with ICT, not just within our computing curriculum. Our children use Office 365 and OneNote daily within their classroom learning to engage them within and enthuse their learning.
Our computing curriculum includes the formal requirements of the National Curriculum, which are incorporated within unplugged learning around the concepts of computer science, digital literacy and information technology as well as specific app based learning on the iPads or surfaces. We want our pupils to become technologically well-informed, self-motivated and computer literate, utilising computing skills in a creative way with integrity and thoughtfulness. We aim for our pupils to be confident and secure within new technologies which will prepare them well for life in the community and wider world.
