School's Ofsted Inspection Report

19 May 2022 (by Mark Backhouse (M.Backhouse))

Dear parents and carers, It is with immense pride and joy that I share with you the Ofsted report from our recent two-day Ofsted inspection carried out on Tuesday 5th April – Wednesday 6th April 2022.

We are so pleased to announce that Ofsted have judged Bolsover Church of England Junior School to be a ‘Good’ school.

The report reflects precisely the ethos of our school and the work that all stakeholders carry out to ensure the children of Bolsover receive the very best.

We are extremely proud of the journey Bolsover Church of England School has been on and just how much progress the school has made since its last inspection as a result of the staff being pioneering in their drive to improve educational standards for all.

The team are a true credit to Bolsover: what was seen by Ofsted on the two days of inspection is nothing different to what happens day in and day out at our school.

Thank you to all of our families and children for their hard work in supporting and engaging with the journey of Bolsover.

On behalf of the Bolsover team,

Mrs Bailey

Please see below a message from our Chair of Governors,

Dear parents and carers,

Today you will be reading for the first time the Ofsted report for our school.

Inspectors have captured brilliantly the ethos of the school, the care of staff and leaders and how well, safe and happy children are. It also recognises how far the school has come since the last inspection and describes the high-quality education our children are now receiving every day.

We are so glad Ofsted have judged our school to be a ‘good school’, as we have known for a while that we are delivering a good education to all of our wonderful children.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank on your behalf Mrs Bailey and her team for all their hard work and efforts.

It is hard to move up an Ofsted category, but extremely rare to move up two, which leaders of our school have achieved. It is testimony to their determination and resolve to make this school the best it can be. In doing so, staff have ensured that our children have the best possible chance to succeed in life.

Mrs Bailey, Mr Backhouse and the whole staff team thank you for believing in our children and for aspiring for the best for them all.

Alison Adair on behalf of the governing body.
