Our Sports Day in 2013 took place on a glorious July summer's day. We had a very high turn out which was enjoyed by all. There were many positive comments from the day - especially about the year 6 leaders who helped Mr Backhouse run the event. Well done to all involved. Check out the photos below:
Mini Olympics Sports Day (2012)
2012's event had a Mini Olympic Theme and took place on the 13th July 2011 at 9:30am.
The show kicked off with an Opening Ceremony which included an Opening Ceremony with a torch display and dance show.
The sports events then started with usual favourites with a competitive twist. Unfortunately, the weather was not our side and the events had to cut short with the Olympicnic and Summer Fayre occurring inside. All in all a great way to kick start the Olympic Games of London 2012.
2011 Event
Last year's event took place on the 13th July 2011 at 9:30am-12:00pm. There was a range of activities, which all children got to take part in, with some usual (Skipping Races, High Jump) to some new events (Space Hopper Races, Long Jump)!!
After the events the Year Group Relays took place in which the winning boy and girl teams took home a medal each.
The Parents and Teachers then took to the track for a hilarious Space Hopper race!!
The weather held up and so there was a Picnic Lunch on the field with some staff selling pizza, fizzy jelly and biscuits...yum!!
