Our school gardens project
This year, we have teamed up with Freedom Community Project to develop our school grounds and benefit our community. The team at Freedom are working alongside us to grow fresh produce in our gardens to help their charity and get our children involved in learning some great life skills. We are going to be learning about the growing process from planting through to eating and the children are going to be a key part in this - getting outside and getting 'dug in'!
The children will plant, care for, harvest and enjoy their produce helping us to care more about what we eat and to be thankful. We will have some fun theme days coming up as we move through the project.
Stay tuned for more pictures and to see what the children think!
This half term, we want families to get active together and compete in year group teams to 'Travel to Tokyo'.
This challenge means travelling the 47,193km it takes to get to Tokyo ready for the 2021 Olympic Games.
Watch this video to find out how you can get your family active and be in with a chance to win some super prizes.
You can log your activity and get your team kicking those kilometres at: Get Set Tokyo | Travel to Tokyo - Log Activity
NHS Careers Week
In school, the children are learning about the NHS with our careers week (March 9th, 10th and 11th). We will find out about all the different job roles and what skills are needed to work for the NHS. We will be zooming in to a Doctor to find out more about their job and challenging our children to enter a ‘Thank You NHS’ competition.
Please see the video below to find out more information and check back for photos after our careers week!
